Polen Türkmen

Research Associate

Polen Türkmen is a research associate for A Path for Europe (PfEU). Her research interests include European foreign and security policy, EU – Turkey – NATO relations and disinformation.

Currently, she is a Blue Book trainee at the Service for Foreign Policy Instruments of the European Commission. In her volunteering work as a UNESCO Media and Information Literacy (MIL) youth regional coordinator for Europe, Polen also promotes media literacy projects in Europe and around the globe. She holds a Master of International Affairs (MIA) with a specialisation in ‘security and sustainability’ from the Hertie School of Governance and a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy (MA Hons) from the University of St Andrews. She has previously worked as a student/research assistant at the Hertie School’s Jacques Delors Centre and All European Academies (ALLEA), and as an intern at the Global Public Policy institute (GPPi).

As a research associate, Polen will help develop research programs, organise events and publish articles on a regular basis.
