Why is your participation important?

With this call for videos, we invite young policy thinkers to take part in the debate on the future of Europe and share their ideas on the challenges and opportunities ahead. These ideas will help define the research agenda of our most recent project – “EU Agenda 2025 and Beyond”.

Correlating with PfEU’s mission, we want to give the young generation in Europe a voice and enable their involvement in policy-debates. In our research and advocacy project “EU Agenda 2025 and Beyond” we want to understand the young generation’s priorities and concerns about the EU and will draft a policy agenda for the second half of the 2020s that takes into account these ideas and priorities.

By making a video contribution, you can have your say in the agenda-setting and get the opportunity to have your idea reaching decision-makers. You can also win a PfEU membership worth 120 €.

How to participate?

Send a 1-3 minute video to video@pathforeurope.eu in which you address a pressing challenge that lies ahead or a policy problem that has been ignored or not  focused on enough by the EU. There are no limits to your thoughts, you can address challenges such as climate change, rising geopolitical tensions or human rights violations but also more unknown policy problems.

The videos will be uploaded to our YouTube channel and shared on PfEU’s social media platforms on a running basis.

Deadline and price?

The final deadline for submissions is 30 June 2021.

A winner is chosen by the PfEU management and advisory board based on the criteria of

• Explanation of why the policy problem must be solved
• Innovativeness of policy solution
• Possibility to be implemented in the medium-term
• Feedback on social media

The winner will receive a one-year membership worth 120 € and the possibility to develop his/her policy proposal further with PfEU.

We reserve the right not to publish contributions that do not fulfil the requirements and correspond to purpose of the project.

What is the “EU Agenda 2025 and Beyond” project?

The last few years have been marked by diverse challenges for the EU, such as the financial crisis, migration crisis, Brexit and Covid-19 pandemic. This has sparked skepticism towards the European project, influencing European integration, solidarity and democracy. It has also directed the political focus towards responding to immediate challenges, where medium- and long-term perspectives have at times been lost. The “EU Agenda 2025 and Beyond” project is a 3-year long project within which we seek to move beyond short-term perspectives. We will conduct research and develop policy advice that balance short-term approaches with medium-term needs, building the foundation for EU’s long-term success.
