Camila is a permanent author for A Path for Europe (PfEU). Her areas of interest include EU and U.S. migration policies, refugee resettlement, and the relationship between borders and mobility.
Camila recently obtained her Master’s degree in Globalization and Development Studies from Maastricht University in the Netherlands. She wrote her Master’s thesis on how migration flow from Sub-Saharan Africa to the EU has evolved in the context of the EU external migration initiative, Operation Sophia.
After completing her Bachelor’s degree in International Studies from Kenyon College in the U.S., Camila served as an immigration policy intern at a nonprofit and then worked within the immigration practice group of a New York City law firm.
Camila is a native English speaker and is fluent in German. As a permanent author, she will contribute to our research on EU migration by publishing articles on a regular basis.
